25 students injured as van falls in pond

CHAKWAL: Twenty-five students and a driver were injured when a pickup van turned turtle and fell in a pond near Khanpur village on Dhok Talian Road on Monday.
The vehicle was going to Takia Shah Murad and other villages after picking students from different schools at Khanpur village when it turned turtle while taking a sharp turn and fell in a pond. As a result, driver Ramzan and 25 students were injured, five of them seriously. The injured students were shifted to different hospitals. There were 30 students in the vehicle against the capacity of 15.
MAN ROBBED: An incident of dacoity was reported near Sohear village in Neela police limits on Monday.
Mukhtar Shahnawaz of Dhok Pannah village reported to police that he was on way home from Roopwal village when Javed and Rab Nawaz allegedly snatched Rs 10,200 from him. Police have arrested the accused after registering a case.
