HAFIZABAD: A 10-year-old Madrassa student died due to the alleged torture of two clerics at Pindi Bhattian on Sunday. Adnan (10), son of Tahir Mahmood of Fatehke village, was a student of Jamia Nasria, Pattan Road. A few days ago, Qari Habibullah and Qari Abdul Hafeez tortured Adnan for not learning his lesson. As a result, his leg broke and arm injured, but he was not shifted to any hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, Tahir came to see his son at the Madrassa and found him in a critical condition. He immediately informed Pindi Bhattian police and a case was registered against the two Madrassa teachers. Adnan was taken to Pindi Bhattian THQ Hospital from where doctors referred him to Allied Hospital, Faisalabad, where he breathed his last. Later, Adnan was buried in Fatehke village. The police have arrested one of the accused, Qari Habibullah, while raids are being made to nab the other.
