Wapda lift junior hockey title

ISLAMABAD: Wapda overwhelmed Customs 5-0 to annex National Junior Hockey Championship title following one-sided final at the National Stadium in Lahore on Sunday.
Wapda dominated the play throughout four quarters, striking at will in a thumping win. Ibrar Hussain, who struck through field efforts in the 9th minute, set the floodgates open.
Yasir and Hammad Anjum added two more goals within next 20 minutes followed by Rana Waheed and Waqas Butt’s goals in the last quarter to seal Customs fate.
In the third position playoff, SSGC edged out Punjab A on penalty shootout 4-2 following 2-2 draw during the schedule time to take bronze.
