CHAKWAL: Twenty one accused Saturday stormed a house in Sardhi village in the area of Kallar Kahar police station and abducted two people.
Ghulam Bashir told police that accused Zahid Bostan and his twenty armed accomplices attacked his house and abducted his cousins Muzamil Hussain and Mohammad Ibrar and tortured them.
He said the accused also resorted to aerial firing.
Police rushed to the spot and arrested 10 accused while 11 accused managed to escape.
TWO BUTCHERS BOOKED: Two butchers were booked under the Punjab Animals Slaughter Act on Saturday.
The butchers were found selling unhygienic meat at Millat Chowk, Chakwal, in the area of city police station and Rotucha village in the area of Choa Saidan Shah police station.
Veterinary officer Dr Zeeshan Haider recovered 30 kg meat that was being sold without any official stamp and booked Mehmood Ahmed of Millat Chowk.
The butcher was handed over to city police.
Meanwhile, veterinary officer Choa Saidan Shah Dr Riaz Ahmed recovered substandard meat from Ramzan Saee of Dandoot village.
