LAHORE The Punjab and federal governments were ordered by the Lahore High Court to explain why the sale of videos of the Kasur scandal was not stopped. Justice Muhammad Anwaarul Haq of the LHC passed the order on a petition filed by Judicial Activism Penal chairman Azhar Siddique. The judge adjourned the hearing until Sept 18. The lawyer-petitioner told the judge that the sale of the videos was not only the violation of the Constitution but also was against the teachings of Islam. Despite the national outcry on the issue, their sale is alarming and shows the interest of authorities concerned regarding their role in removing the videos from the access of citizens, he added.
