ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Mayor Shaikh Ansar Aziz has revealed that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s doctors are struggling hard to check further deterioration in his condition as his regular treatment has yet to start.
The process of diagnosing is still underway and the specialised treatment would be initiated once the real ailment and its causes are detected. Shaikh Ansar, who has just returned after a fortnight stay in London as he was there to receive his leader and Quaid of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N).
The Islamabad Mayor, who was on private visit to the United Kingdom, in a brief chat with The News here the other day said that Nawaz Sharif’s health is still frail, but he is in high spirits. It appears that the Sharif family will have to take a decision in a couple of days to shift the most popular leader of Pakistan to Boston/USA for more intense probe of his health problems and comprehensive treatment.
To a query Shaikh Ansar Aziz said that Nawaz Sharif feels difficulty in speaking. The physicians examining Nawaz Sharif offered the family option of staying at home where a full-fledge medical aid unit had been setup along-with essential equipment or getting admitted in the hospital, but the family preferred to get treatment at home as long the process of investigation of ailment is ongoing. Sheikh Ansar Aziz has termed the so-called social media’s information as absurd and fabricated that Nawaz Sharif had visited any market or malls after reaching London on November 20. His whole movement is confined to visit the hospital and doctors.
He said that Nawaz Sharif is fond of staying among the people and meeting his well-wishers, but he cannot help it since his doctors have strictly restricted his movement and they don’t permit him to make any such activity.
Shaikh Ansar Aziz said that it has become difficult for the Sharif family to stop workers of PML-N and friends of Nawaz Sharif to visit his residence who come there in big number daily, but they have to face disappointment when failed to have glimpse of their leader.
The Islamabad Mayor, who was with Nawaz Sharif on the day of his returning home, said that the former prime minister is more concerned about Pakistan and its people than his own health. Nawaz Sharif has urged the people to pray whole-heartedly for the country, Ansar Aziz Shaikh added.
