Elders’ jirga resolves enmity

MARDAN: The local elders have succeeded in resolving a blood feud in Bagh Iram area, which had claimed three lives in the past.

An enmity between Ruhud Din alias Khan and Nawab Khan and Riaz had been going on since a long time and claimed three lives. A jirga of elders including Pir Azmat Ali, Raheem Shah, Qari Junaid, Arshad Manan, Malik Javed and Malik Yousaf played a key role in resolving the dispute. A ceremony was organised at Taroon Wedding Hall where hundreds of local people were present. DC Abid Wazir and other officials also attended the function. During the function, the parties met each other and swore to live in peace in the future.
