SIALKOT: Police on Wednesday arrested a man for allegedly murdering a class four student after sexual assault.
Addressing a press conference at his office here, ASP Irfan Tariq told journalists that the police arrested accused Faizan Ali for murdering 12-year-old boy Subhan Ali, s/o Muhammad Ansar Ali, at Changa Wali village on Aug 15. The ASP told that the police arrested the accused on suspicion who during investigation revealed that he took Subhan at the bank of a canal near Maleyke Bridge and sodomised him. The accused disclosed when the boy threatened him that he would inform his parents about the incident, he slaughtered him with the help of a sharp-edged weapon and fled, the ASP added. The police also recovered the murder weapon from the possession of the accused, the ASP informed. Meanwhile, relatives of Subhan and civil society members have demanded exemplary punishment for the alleged murderer.
