ABBOTTABAD: The next round of polio campaign in the district would start on December 2 and the second phase on December 16.
A total of 219,862 children would be vaccinated against the fatal virus during the campaign, said Abbottabad Deputy Commissioner Amir Afaq Wednesday.
He was speaking at the polio vaccination review meeting at his office. It was told that in a recent campaign, 213,905 kids were given polio drops.
The official stressed that all ways and means must be utilised to achieve the target for which a wide range of publicity campaign would be launched.
The meeting was l attended by the notables of the area, Additional Deputy Commissioner Shahab Khan, ex-nazim of the local councils, officials of health department and district administration, representative of WHO and district khateeb.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner imposed Section 144 in Galiyat especially in Qanoon Go Circle Bakot, Bagan and Lora Patwar Circles for any kind of commercial constructions without the prior approval of Galiyat Development Authority.
