Eight killed in DI Khan road accident

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: At least eight passengers were killed and several others sustained injuries in a head-on collision between a bus and truck on Indus Highway in Prova tehsil on Monday, police said.
They said that a passenger bus was heading to Karachi from Peshawar when it collided with a truck near Ramak, leaving eight persons dead on the spot while several others sustained injuries.
Soon after the accident, the 1122 ambulances reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to the District Headquarters Hospital. The identity of the dead and injured could not be ascertained while the death toll could rise as most of the injured were reported to be in serious condition.
