MULTAN: Police have rounded up 69 accused from Multan, Lodhran, Vehari and Khanewal in a crackdown on internet clubs and cable network offices for promoting nudity.
Police also recovered 50 computers, two laptops, six memory cards and 194 porn CDs from them. Earlier, Regional Police Officer Tariq Masood Yasin had ordered a crackdown. He had also warned the police officials of taking action against them.
SEMINAR TODAY: The Progressive Writers Association Seraiki region will organise a seminar on the topic “Pakistan’s present socio-political situation in perspective of progressive point of view” at the press club here today.
Pakistan Study Centre president Dr Syed Jafar Ahmad will chair the seminar while Dr Anwar Ahmed (Multan), Dr Shah Muhammad (Quetta), Ashiq Buzdar (Rajanpur), Dr Salahuddin (Multan), Dr Shakil Pitafi and Dr Qazi Abid will address it.
