Nayza All-Pakistan Tennis from tomorrow
LAHORE: The Nayza All-Pakistan Tennis Championship, featuring all the top players of the country, will roll into action from November 23 to 28 here at the Punjab Tennis Academy Courts at Bagh-i-Jinnah.
Giving details of the event, tournament director, secretary Punjab tennis Rashid Malik said that Pakistan’s tennis ace Asiam-ul-Haq Qureshi will also be playing in the event. Vice-Chairman Sports Board Punjab Rao Zahid Qayyum was also present on the occasion.
He further informed that competitions will be held in the age groups from under-6 to seniors. He said that the main purpose is to promote and groom talented players in tennis. “The tournament will serves the players prepare for the South Asian Games, which are to be held in Nepal next month,” he added.
The opening ceremony of the tournament will be held on November 23 at 3.00 pm while the final shall be played on November 28 at 200 pm.
