Eight SHOs of Sukkur Range suspended
SUKKUR: Additional IG Sukkur Dr. Jameel Ahmed has suspended eight SHOs and three cops for involvement in smuggling.
The Additional IG Sukkur said that following intensive investigations, 11 police officers including SHOs Rind Ali Noonari, Abdul Fatah, Gul Mahar, Imdad Talpur, Aijaz Khoso, Muhammed Siddique and Agha Shamshad posted at Kandhkot, Kashmore and Ghotki police stations and constables Ilyas Odho, Manzoor Ahmed Leghari and Tufail Bhutto were allegedly found involved in smuggling of Iranian petrol, non custom paid vehicles and other forms of smuggling. Dr Jameel said till the conclusion of the inquiry the officers would not be allowed to leave the region.
The Addl IG said some other police officers are also being investigated for similar crimes. Dr Jameel said he has despatched the report to the chief minister Sindh and the home department.
