Rahimullah Yusufzai table tennis begins
PESHAWAR: The first edition of Rahimullah Yusufzai Table Tennis Tournament got underway here at the Peshawar Press Club (PPC) on Wednesday.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Director General Sports Asfandyar Khattak and senior journalist Rahimullah Yusufzai played an exhibition match at the Zubair Mir Hall of the PPC to formally mark the beginning of the event.
Around 30 members of the PPC are participating in the event organised by the press club in collaboration with the Directorate General of Sports.
Talking to reporters Rahimullah said that holding sports competition for the journalists was need of the hour.
Asfandyar said that the provincial Directorate of Sports was committed for promotion of sports and welfare of sportsmen, adding that they give high value to the cooperation of journalists in this regard.
