LAHORE: The Lahore Bar Association (LBA) observed strike on Monday against declaring only eight lawyers pass in interview.
According to an LBA announcement, the strike would continue on Tuesday (today) also and lawyers would not appear in courts in protest.
The LBA general house meeting was also held with President Asim Cheema in the chair. The house expressed serious reservations over appointment of new additional district and sessions judges, and demanded that the 40 lawyers, who had cleared the written exam, should also be appointed judges.
The meeting condemned the misbehaviour with lawyers by Family Judge Aqsa Ghaffar and demanded her immediate removal from her post.
