Govt accused of trying to delay LB polls From Our Correspondent CHAKWAL: Ex-district Nazim Sardar Ghulam Abbas Monday said the government was trying to postpone local bodies’ election on different pretexts. Talking to reporters on the occasion of weding ceremony of Asim Cheema, son of ex-councilor Qasim Cheema, he said the LB polls would not be transparent under the present setup. He was of the view that his group and like-minded political forces would compete the PMLN candidates in the LB polls. Ex-tehsil Nazim Sardar Aftab Akbar, Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Khan, Malik Ghulam Hur, Malik Ghulam Murtaza, Chaudhry Ahmed Khan were also present. TWO INJURED IN ACCIDENT: Two people suffered injuries in a collision of two motorcycles near Mureed village in the area of Sadr police station. On Chakwal Talagang Road, Danial Shabir and Mustajab Haider were coming from the opposite directions on their motorcycle and collided and suffered injuries. They were rushed to hospital. GOATS STOLEN: Six goats were stolen in Mureed village. Aqarab Hussain was rearing six sacrificial goats. Thieves entered his house and took away the goats.
