LANDIKOTAL: A bomb blast occurred at a playground in Landikotal tehsil of Khyber Agency on Sunday. However, no casualty was reported. Local sources said the bomb, planted in the football ground at the Government High School, went off at around 5pm. A local resident told The News that the blast took place 20 minutes after a football match of the Independence Sports Festival was stopped and spectators left the ground due to heavy rain. He said the bomb was of high intensity as it smashed window glasses of a few homes nearby. As the blast occurred, the security personnel and officials of the Landikotal administration rushed to the site and cordoned off the whole stadium.
