QUETTA: Four persons, including a tribal elder and his son, were killed and three personnel of Levies Force were injured in an ambush in Sorab area of Kalat district on Wednesday.
Levies officials said a local tribal elder, along with his son, private security guards and Levies Force personnel, was on way from Kharan to Sia Kamb area when his vehicle came under firing by unidentified assailants on the National Highway in Sorab area of Kalat district.
“Tribal elder Ali Muhammad, his son and two private security guards received multiple bullet wounds, which caused their instant death while three Levies personnel, riding in another vehicle sustained bullet wounds,” they said. Local people and Levies Force shifted the dead and injured to hospital.
The doctors said the dead had received critical bullet wounds in their heads and chest, which caused their death. The condition of the injured Levies personnel is also critical, they said.
