PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Nasir Khan Durrani has dismissed a senior police officer in Lakki Marwat from service over complaints of corruption and faulty investigation.
The IGP had received complaints of corruption, faulty investigation and poor reputation against acting SP Investigation of Lakki Marwat, Muhammad Siddique. He got these allegations probed through Regional Police Officer of Bannu, who in his report, termed the allegations based on facts.
The IGP suspended the SP in the light of the report of the RPO and constituted an inquiry committee comprising two DIGs for Departmental Enquiry. The enquiry committee after collecting the evidence presented the report to the IGP in which the acting SP had been found guilty. The provincial police chief in the light of the findings of enquiry committee dismissed the acting SP Investigation of Lakki Marwat from service with immediate effect.
