Dera Ismail Khan: The police on Monday arrested a proclaimed offender, who had escaped during the Dera jailbreak, and was wanted in the kidnapping of a Chinese national, an official said.
SHO Draban Kifayatullah told reporters that the police arrested the accused Muhammad Asif during a search at a checkpoint. He said that the accused had been imprisoned for 25 years in a double-murder case and escaped during the militants’ attack on Central Prison Dera Ismail Khan in 2013. The accused was also wanted in kidnapping of Chinese national in 2014.
