Robbers kill pharmacy guard

LAHORE
ROBBERS Saturday shot dead a 34-year-old guard of a pharmacy on putting resistance in a dacoity bid in the Iqbal Town police limits.
The deceased was identified as Tufail of Kasur. Three robbers barged into the pharmacy and took the staff hostage. When the guard resorted to firing, the robbers shot at and injured him. He died on the way to hospital.
Body found: A body of a 60-year-old man was found in the Shahdara Town police limits. According to police, the victim looked like a drug addict.
Rewarded: SP Security Capt (retd) Liaqat Ali Malik awarded CC-II certificates to 41 officials and officers on their satisfactory performance during July.
CTO: CTO Tayyab Hafeez Cheema visited hospitals of the City to improve the flow of traffic and directed traffic wardens to remove encroachments.
Meanwhile, traffic wardens arrested Shaukat Ali and recovered a stolen motorbike in Liaqatabad.
Death: A 22-year-girl died while a man received injuries in an accident between a truck and a bike in Garden Town police limits. The deceased was identified as Nisha and the injured as Usman.
found dead: A 17-year-old boy was found dead in a ground under mysterious circumstances in Gulshan-e-Ravi police limits. A passerby informed the police about the boy in an unstable condition. Police said the victim might have died due to reaction of some injection as syringes and injections were recovered from the spot.
Dies: A 60-year-old woman was killed while two persons received injuries in a road accident between a bike and a truck in Shadbagh police limits on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Rehmat Bibi.
