Jamaat-e-Islami Naib Ameer Hafiz Muhammad Idrees said Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq had brought disgrace to the parliament by contacting a wanted anti-state criminal and an absconder like Altaf Hussain.
The MQM leader was calling India for assistance against Pakistan whereas the rulers in Islamabad were begging him for help on the parliamentary resolutions, he said this while delivering a Friday sermon at Mansoora masjid.
He said once again efforts were being made to cover up the crimes of MQM. He said those who were lowering the image of the parliament should be brought to accountability.
The JI leader said the NA Speaker’s gossip with the villain who had been busy in mudslinging on national institutions and had brought disrepute to the country were a matter of shame. He said the MQM’s crimes were known to everybody and the NA Speaker should have consulted the parliament before contacting Altaf Husain. He said the law courts who had issued warrants of arrest for Altaf Husain should take notice of the Speaker’s contact with him.
