MULTAN: Seasoned politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has said that Kalsoom Nawaz Sharif is like his sister and he feels sorry on betraying her by leaving the PML-N in 2011 despite her efforts to convince him not to quit the party.
Talking to newsmen at his residence here on Wednesday, he said that he was regretful on saying ‘No’ to his sister Kalsoom Nawaz but now he was ready for expiation.
He said that PTI chief Imran Khan was responsible for his own debacle and he would also be responsible for elimination of the party.
He criticised the statement of MQM chief Altaf Hussain. He demanded the government bring Altaf back to Pakistan and try him for giving provocative statements and speeches.
Referring to the PTI core committee meeting decision of submitting resignations from the National Assembly, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said that he was the only person, who honoured the decision by resigning from his seat. He claimed that the PML-N leaders were not happy with him when he submitted his resignation.
