Jamaat Islami ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has reiterated that all rulers had been the same through history and mere faces were changed with the same character.
The present rulers should be given time to allow the people to reject them, otherwise premature removal of the rulers would tantamount to make them martyrs, he said while addressing a ceremony at Mansoorah and talking to the media. Sirajul Haq stressed that the supporters of status quo never wanted to change the fate of the people. “They only want to pursue the policy of divide and rule so that their own plundering could continue. They have already made the industries and factories as hostage along with the people,” he added. He said the rulers were either multiplying their assets or taking the capital out of the country into their foreign accounts and businesses, doing nothing for the poor and helpless masses. Sirajul Haq said movements for change were being waged all over the world, and Pakistan should also have a positive change. He said the government should only be changed through a democratic method.
