Body of youth recovered from river

JHANG: After an 18-hour search operation, Rescue 1122 teams recovered the body of a youth who drowned into Chenab River at 18-Hazari.
Three friends – Habibur Rehman, Azhar and Shahbaz Ali – came to the river and starting swimming in the floodwater on Saturday. During swimming, the floodwater took them away. Hearing the noise, the locals rushed to the spot and recovered Habibur Rehman and Azhar safely while Shahbaz drowned. On information, Rescue 1122 officials also rushed to the spot and started operation to recover Shahbaz Ali. However, due to heavy rain and darkness, the rescue operation was suspended. On Sunday, they resumed the operation and recovered the body of Shahbaz. Later, the body was handed over to the family.
