Flood victims today are facing the same callous attitude of the government that was witnessed by the people during the Eid rush. They were left at the mercy of the transport mafia just like the people are left at the mercy of raging floodwaters..
People not only face high fares but also the scornful attitude of the transport mafia towards helpless women, children and elders as well. Every year travel on Eid is like scaling a mountain. Not only do people have to pay exorbitant fares, they also bear the scornful attitude and pathetic condition of buses.
