KARACHI: The first aircraft landed on the newly constructed Delta Taxiway Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto International Airport on Friday, according to a press release from the Civil Aviation Authority.
The new taxiway will result in a cost saving of $150 per minute per aircraft, it added.
The taxiway will allow aircraft to exit the runaway after landing, which will make it possible for subsequently arriving aircraft to land, or to take-off.
Benazir Bhutto International Airport has recently launched a drive to upgrade facilities for accommodating both airlines and passengers.
