23,915 flood affectees evacuated

The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) has evacuated 23,915 flood affectees from flood-prone districts of Punjab; out of which some 8,266 persons have been evacuated from different flood vulnerable areas of Rahimyar Khan, 2,265 from Muzaffargarh, 1,741 from Rajanpur and 9,676 persons from Layyah.
The spokesperson of Rescue 1122 Jam Sajjad Hussain said that major rescue operations were conducted in Layyah; DG Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rahimyar Khan, Chiniot and Rajanpur Districts of the Punjab. According to the details provided by the Provincial Monitoring Cell of Punjab Emergency Service, Rescue 1122 Rahimyar Khan Emergency Services evacuated 8,266 persons; Rescue 1122 Layyah 9,676, Rescue 1122 Mianwali 763; Muzaffargarh Emergency Services evacuated 2,265 and Rajanpur 1,741.
The details further show that 4,224 flood affectees were evacuated from Chachran Sharif; 3,212 from Mouza Chuhan, 477 from Bhong and 353 from Abadpur in Rahimyar Khan District; some 4,262 from Sumra Nashaib; 473 from Lohanch Nashaib, 448 from Dewan Chowk, 307 from Mouza Bakhri Ahmed Khan, 303 from Basti Gurmani, 20 from Mongar, 287 from Mouza Shahwala, 1,300 from Wara Sehr, 908 from Basti Jakhar, 188 from Maqsood Chowk and 310 from Basti Kanjal in Layyah District. Similarly, 266 from Tari Khel Kacha; 221 from Mouch Kacha and 231 from Rokharri Kacha in Mianwali District. Out of total 2,265 flood affectees of Muzaffargarh; 627 were evacuated from Kundai, 463 from Bangla Hinjra, 338 from Left Marginal Band and three from Rind Adda. The PMC further informed that 621 persons were evacuated Nishter Ghat, Indus River, 112 from Bhagsar, Rojhan, 182 from Bait Sontra, 188 from Rojhan Garh and 205 from Talliwala Bandro in Rajanpur District.
ACCIDENTS: At least 519 road traffic accidents were reported in Rescue 1122’s Provincial Monitoring Cell in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours; in which four lives were lost during these traffic accidents in different districts of Punjab and 416 serious injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant district. However, some 183 victims sustaining minor injuries were provided first aid on the spot.
