80 tola gold looted in broad daylight

HAFIZABAD: Five robbers Thursday took away 80 tola gold ornaments and cash from a house of a local trader in a broad daylight.
Five dacoits entered the house of Riaz Ahmad and took hostage the family members. They took away 80 tola gold ornaments, 12,000 Saudi riyals and Rs 500,000.
NEW SEATS DEMANDED FOR COLLEGE: Rana Khalid Mahmood Thursday chaired a meeting of the Awami Mahaz and demanded the Punjab government high-ups new seats of lecturers and professors for Government Islamia Degree College for Girls, Hafizabad, so that masters classes may be started in the college.
The participants were told that a new block for masters classes was constructed, but staff was not sanctioned due to which girl students were facing severe problems.
