LAHORE: Jamaat-i-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has said the job of judicial commission is incomplete until all those responsible for irregularities in 2013 general elections it had pointed out were punished accordingly.
If it had not been for those irregularities, neither all those questions would have been raised on the elections nor would have been the two and half year long hue and cry over the alleged rigging, he said in a statement Tuesday.
He said it is the job of the judicial commission to eliminate all those irregularities which led to the crises the nation had been seeing for the last two and half years, and to punish those responsible for those irregularities, without which its job would remain incomplete. He said the Judicial Commission must complete its job so that such irregularities and rigging could be prevented in future elections and the electoral process be made transparent.
He asked all the political parties to play positive role for eliminating the chaos and chalk out a unified line of action on the judicial commission’s report for achieving the ultimate goal of electoral reforms.
He demanded that the resolution for de-seating PTI MNAs should be withdrawn since it would increase chaos and prevent the political parties to join hands for solving the masses’ problems. He also demanded that all those involved in corruption must not be spared, even if they happen to be government officials. He said all such people were pushing the system towards destruction. He said it was time that the national wealth stacked in foreign banks should be retrieved and spent welfare of common man.
