Earthquake jolts Hazara, Malakand

3 killed in house collapse incidents

ABBOTTABAD: A woman and two minors were killed in house collapse incidents as an earthquake of 5.5 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted Hazara and Malakand divisions on Saturday, officials said.
They said that a roof of the house of Khursheed caved in at Kiyala Pai village, leaving his wife, Rafia Bibi, and nine-year-old daughter, Rahm Bibi, dead.
Meanwhile, the boundary wall of Muhammad Javed’s house collapsed in Klinda village in which his four-year-old son Ahmed Ali was killed while his wife Shahida Bibi was injured.
Our correspondent adds from Mingora: The earthquake jolted Malakand, Swat, Upper and Lower Dir, Buner, Chitral and Shangla districts.
