LAHORE
Partly cloudy weather with rain and thunder is expected in the provincial metropolis on Sunday (today) while similar weather will continue throughout the coming week.
A well marked seasonal low exists over north Balochistan and its adjoining areas with its trough extending south eastwards. Strong monsoon currents are expected to penetrate in upper parts of the country during Sunday to Tuesday that may interact with the westerly wave. Strong monsoon currents are likely to penetrate in southern parts of the country during Monday to Thursday
In the next 24 hours, more widespread rain-thundershower with scattered heavy falls expected in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (Malaknd, Hazara, Mardan, and Peshawar divisions),Upper FATA (Bajour, Mahmond, Khyber, Orakzai and Kurram Agencies), Islamabad, Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions), Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while scattered rain-thundershower expected in south Punjab(Multan, D.G khan, Bahwalpur, Sahiwal, Faisalabad divisions, southern KP(Kohat, Bannu, D.I khan divisions),Balochistan(Zhob, Sibbi, Kallat, Naseerabad divisions) and Sindh.
Widespread rains with scattered heavy at times very heavy falls expected in Malaknd, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, Bajour, Mahmond, Khyber, Orakzai,Kurram Agencies, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during Sunday to Tuesday, while in Sukkar, Larkana, Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, D.G.Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Zhob, Sibbi, Nasirabad and D.I. Khan division during Monday to Thursday. Heavy rains may generate flash flooding and urban flooding in the vulnerable area, and therefore, all concerned authorities are requested to take precautionary measures accordingly.
In addition to 25 mm rain in the city, in other parts of the country Mithi received 82 mm, Diplo 76, Khanpur 54, Lahore(City 25, A/P 02), Multan 22, Layyah 21, Bahawalnagr 09, Bahawalpur(City 08, A/P 03), Chachro 08, Dhali 05, Sialkot ,

Jhelum, Okara, R.Y khan, Jhang ,Malamjabb 04, Chhor , Gilgit 03, Sahiwal, Chakwal 02, Kasur, Kot Addu and Chitral 01mm.The maximum temperature in the city was 34 degrees Celsius while in the country was 44°C at Dalbandin.
Strong monsoon currents are likely to penetrate in southern parts of the country from Monday to Thursday.
