KARACHI: The committee constituted by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to ascertain the reasons behind the failure of the national hockey team to qualify for Rio Olympics will once again meet on July 23 in Islamabad to finalise its report.
The committee has also called PHF president Akhtar Rasool and secretary Rana Mujahid to the meeting.
Nawaz has returned home from Saudi Arabia. The committee was given one week to submit its report which has already passed.
This is for the first time that Pakistan have failed to qualify for the hockey event of the Olympics. Pakistan have three gold medals in Olympics. In no other sport has Pakistan ever won a gold medal in Olympics.
