SWABI: Khairul Haseeb, Superintendent of Police (SP) of the Elite Force of the Bannu Circle, was martyred in his native Saleem Khan village by unidentified militants on Saturday when they opened fire on him as he came out from the nearby mosque.
He offered the Fajr prayer at a mosque in Mohallah Mirahmadkhel. He was assassinated as he came out of the mosque. Haseeb was a major in the Pakistan Army. He had joined the Elite Police Force of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
