MULTAN: Khanewal police, Elite Force and intelligence agencies have arrested 12 suspects in a joint operation and shifted them to an undisclosed location for interrogation, police officials said.
The search operation was conducted on the orders of Khanewal DPO Jehanzeb Nazir Khan under the National Action Plan. The police parties conducted search operation in Khanewal City, Kuhna, Mian Channu City, Kabirwala City, Khanewal Railway Station, Mohallah Rehmania, Abdullah Town, Jitala Town, Chak 26/15-L, Kabirwala, Basti Nawan Sher and other areas and rounded up 12 suspects. The raiding teams also recovered weapons from them.
Khanewal ASP Zunera Noor, Mian Channu DSP Malik Tahir Majid, Kabirwala DSP Muhammad Ashraf, 10 SHOs, 18 sub-inspectors, 22 ASIs, 115 constables, six Elite Force squads and counterterrorism cops took part in the operation.
