A 30-year-old man was found dead in Lorri Adda police limits on Friday.
Some passersby spotted the body of a man lying near the bus stand and informed the police.
It was suspected that the man, yet to be identified, had died at the hands of some unidentified swindlers.
Yet in another incident, a man was found dead in the limits of Chung police station. Police claimed that the man, yet to be identified, was an addict who might have died of excessive use of drugs.
Both bodies were shifted to morgue for autopsy to ascertain the causes of deaths.
Nine gamblers held: Factory Area police on Friday arrested nine gamblers and recovered Rs 50,000 in cash as stake money.
Factory Area SHO Inspector Sheikh Hammad Akhtar was informed that the gambling was going on in a house. The police raided the house and arrested nine persons including Haider Ali, Sajjad and Azeem. Police registered a case against the gamblers.
