Inquiry committee submits report to IPC

KARACHI: The committee constituted by the Prime Minister to ascertain the reasons behind the failure of the national hockey team to qualify for Rio Olympics has completed its task and submitted a report to the ministry of IPC, ‘The News’ has learnt.
A source close to the inquiry committee said that the committee has identified the reasons behind the Antwerp debacle and that the overall report is not in the favour of PHF officials.
Meanwhile, former Olympian Rasheed-ul-Hasan said that the country’s ex-stalwarts are very much hopeful that report would be in the interest of Pakistan hockey and all responsible for the ouster of Pakistan from the Rio Olympics would be exposed.
