CHAKWAL: A drug court on Thursday awarded four-year rigorous imprisonment to three medical store owners, including PTI district chief organiser, in a case of selling expired medicines.
The drug court awarded three-year rigorous imprisonment and Rs 100,000 each to PTI district chief organiser Raja Yasir Sarfraz and his partners Tasneem Majid Shah and Imran Ashraf for selling substandard medicines. The court also awarded them one-year imprisonment and Rs 50,000 fine for selling unregistered medicines. The drug inspector had recovered substandard and unregistered medicines from their medical store.
