KARACHI: The Pakistan Hockey Federation formed a three-member committee on Wednesday to find the reasons behind the failure of the national team to qualify for the 2016 Olympics.
It said the committee comprises former goalkeeper Shahid Ali Khan, Mansoor Ahmed and Muhammad Ikhlaq.
The committee will submit its report to the PHF.
Pakistan failed to advance beyond the quarter-final stage in the World Hockey League in Belgium recently. The event served as the qualifiers for the Rio Olympics. They could have still found a berth at the Olympics if they had won the match for the fifth position, but they lost to lowly-ranked team of Ireland.
