MULTAN: The district and sessions judge on Wednesday awarded life imprisonment to an accused and acquitted three other accused due to insufficient evidence.
Tanzilur Rahman, his wife Humaira Khadim and two property dealers Riaz Ahmad and Ashraf had killed Rais Ahmad over a property dispute and a case was registered with New Multan police. The court awarded life term to Tanzilur Rahman and acquitted Humaira Khadim, Riaz Ahmad and Ashraf.

MULTAN: The sister of former prime minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani died of cancer in Islamabad on Wednesday.
She was under treatment in a hospital at Islamabad. Namaz-e-Janaza would be offered at 9am at Musa Pak shrine on Thursday. She will be buried at the Gilanis’ ancestral graveyard at Musa Pak shrine.
APP adds: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed his grief and sorrow over the death of the sister of Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani. In a message to the bereaved family, the PM has extended his profound condolences and prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
