Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that historic Ramazan Package of the government is resulting in relief to the people in the real sense. He said that effective steps had been taken for providing quality items to the people at cheaper rates. He said that better arrangements had been made than before for providing relief to the people through Sastay Ramazan bazaars. He said the availability of edible items at reasonable rates was being ensured in open market along with the Ramazan bazaars.
He expressed these views while talking to the Members of Punjab Assembly from various districts who met him on Wednesday.
The chief minister said the Punjab government had evolved an effective monitoring system for providing relief to the people. He said the monitoring teams were also visiting open markets along with the Ramazan bazaars regularly for ensuring availability of eatable items. He said the hoarders and profiteers should be behind the bars and indiscriminate action was being taken against the profiteers who exploited the people. He said that no compromise would be made on providing quality items to the people at cheaper rates and no one would be allowed to play with the interests of the people. The chief minister said the elected representatives had also played a positive role along with administration for providing relief to the people and the role of assembly members was commendable in this regard.
Those who met the chief minister included Ch. Khalid Javed Warriach, MNA, Ch. Mohsin Ashraf, MPA, Ahsaan-ul-Haq Bajwa, MPA, and Mian Marghoob Ahmad, MPA. Mansha Allah Butt, MPA, was also present.
security: Shahbaz Sharif has issued instructions to police, administration and departments concerned to make foolproof security arrangements in the whole province on the eve of Youm-e-Shahadat Hazrat Ali (RA).
Issuing instructions to authorities concerned, the chief minister said that maximum resources should be utilised for ensuring foolproof security arrangements and four tier security cordons should be made on the routes of processions and strict monitoring should be ensured on routes of processions. He said the implementation of security plan should be ensured and digital monitoring of the steps taken in this regard should be conducted.
