MPA chairs NA-60 parliamentary board meeting

CHAKWAL: MPA Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Dullah Tuesday presided over a meeting of parliamentary board for NA-60 regarding local bodies election.
In the meeting it was decided that strong candidates should be fielded for the slots of chairmen and vice chairmen in the Local Bodies polls.
Appeals in courts against delimitations of union councils and municipal wards and some expected changes in the delimitations were also discussed.
The next meeting of the board is announced on July 25.
Malik Kafait Hussain, Malik Atif Suleman, Malik Safdar Awan, Malik Kashif Habib and Haji Fiaz Ahmed attended the meeting.
Malik Sher Yar Khan represented MPA Malik Zahoor Anwar and MPA Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan represented MNA Sardar Mumtaz Tamman in the meeting.
They also prayed for early recovery of MPA Chaudhry Liaquat Ali Khan and MPA Chaudhry Zahoor Anwar.
FRAUDSTER BOOKED: The city police Tuesday booked a fraudster on order of Additional District and Sessions judge.
Chaudhry Mazhar Hussain of Thanil Fatoi village filed a petition, contending that he purchased a piece of land from Zaffar Iqbal and paid him some amount. He said when he reached the spot to pay the remaining amount and take possession of the land, then brother and father of Zaffar Iqbal told him they were owners of the land and Zaffar had nothing to do with the land. Police registered a case.
