Kalabagh Dam

The MQM chief Altaf Hussain has spoken of the need to construct the Kalabagh dam to rid the country of critical shortages of water and electricity.
This is by far the strongest voice raised in favour of the dam. If Altaf Hussain and his party succeed in developing consensus leading to the construction of the dam they will have done a great service to the country. It is now incumbent upon the federal and provincial governments to join hands to remove all obstacles in the realisation of this vital project.
