PO carrying Rs1m bounty killed in Gujranwala encounter

GUJRANWALA: A proclaimed offender carrying Rs 1 million head money was killed in an encounter with the CIA police in Baghbanpura police limits on Friday.
Zafar Iqbal alias Zafra of Lohianwala and his accomplice were on way when the CIA personnel signalled them at a picket on Mubarak Shah Road but they opened fire on them. The CIA police also retaliated. As a result, Zafar was killed on the spot while his accomplice managed to escape. The killed PO was wanted by police in 30 cases of dacoity and 10 cases of murder.
