SUKKUR: Chief Minister’s Monitoring Team, led by Muzaffar Shujra visited on Wednesday the Civil Hospital Khairpur and other on going development projects.
The team expressed dissatisfaction over the ongoing construction of the Rs1.25 billion project, which had started in 2009 and had not been completed so far.The team noticed that communication block of the hospital was also not completed and was resulting in problems while shifting patients to OT and Wards on the first and second floors.
The team also noticed that air conditioners had not been installed in Emergency Wards. It was also shocking for the team that Rs15 million had been allocated for new building of the mosque, but Project Director Dr Suresh did not execute it and only renovated and repaired the existing old mosque.
The team also noted with shock that there were multiple errors in the structure, which included lack of ventilation and proper sewage system. The team warned the concerned officials to ensure completion of the project otherwise they would face strict action. The team also pointed out technical errors in the construction of overhead bridge at Railways Track Khairpur and recommended the CM Sindh to blacklist the construction company.
