DASKA: A married woman was injured by her in-laws over a domestic issue in the area of Bombanwala police on Monday.
The sister of Javed Iqbal had contracted marriage with Basharat Ali some years ago. Later, the couple developed differences over some issues. On the day of the incident, accused Basharat and his family members allegedly beat and injured her with sticks and clubs.
9 HELD WITH NARCOTICS: Police have arrested nine drug pushers and recovered illegal arms and narcotics from their possession in separate incidents here.
On a tip-off, the police raided at various areas and arrested Naveed, Sajjad, Riaz, Sagheer, Riffat Ali, Shoaib Ahmed, Manzar, Khalid and Akbar and recovered 30 pistols, 40 bottles of liquor and 4,600 grams charas from them.
3 INJURED IN ACCIDENT: Three persons were injured in a road accident in the City police area.
Akram and Younis were on their way when a bike collided with their motorcycle near Pasrur Bypass. As a result, Akram, Younis and the other biker were injured.
DACOITY: A dacoity incident was reported in the area of Motra police on Monday.
Muhammad Aslam of Bakerpur was on his way home when two dacoits intercepted him and snatched cash and a cell phone.
