We need dams

This is not the first time that we are going through the worst kind of scorching summers – and it won’t be the last one. Every year summer arrives with more loadshedding, heat and then floods.
The only way of redemption is to build as many dams as we can. It is unfortunate that whatever few dams we have were built during military regimes. Our government needs to set its priorities right. It needs to understand that metro or orange line projects are not the primary needs of the people but dams are.
