Youth ends life as father refuses new motorcycle

GUJRANWALA: A youth Tuesday committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pills at Qila Didar Singh when his father refused him a new motorcycle.
Suleman, 22, asked his father to buy him a new motorcycle, but his father refused and rebuked him. Over this, Suleman ate poisonous pills and was rushed to DHQ hospital Gujranwala when his condition deteriorated and at the hospital he died.

The accused had shot dead Usman over a minor dispute in 2012 in the People’s Colony locality. The court also fined him Rs 500,000.
The judge acquitted Asif and Arslan giving them the benefit of the doubt.
RAPE BID FOILED: A shopkeeper tired to assault a minor girl sexually on Tuesday.
Grocery shopkeeper Farooq of Muian Sansi village allegedly attempted to molest a minor girl when she visited his shop. To hear a hue and cry raised by the girl, the locals arrived and overpowered the accused.
The accused was handed over to the People’s Colony police.
SHOPKEEPERS’ AGONY: Shopkeepers of Sasta Ramazan Bazaars are suffering due to strict action of the relevant authorities.
The shopkeepers cannot afford to sell their commodities in the bazaars according to lists of the district administration. According to the shopkeepers, they buy commodities dear and how they can afford to sell the commodities at lower rates.
So it has been observed that even a single item was not present in the bazaars of which reduced rate was displayed on the lists.
One shopkeeper said tomatoes were bought at Rs 60 per kg from vegetable market but listed price of the commodity was Rs 40 per kg, and how it is possible for a shopkeeper to suffer such a loss.
