KARACHI: Heroes Cricket Club Quetta overwhelmed Karachi Gymkhana Whites by nine wickets in their Group A encounter of the 30th Karachi Gymkhana Omar Associates Ramazan Festival Twenty20 Cricket Tournament 2015 here at the Karachi Gymkhana Cricket Ground on Saturday.
Batting first, after winning the toss, the Karachi Gymkhana batsmen were rattled by the left-arm spinning trio of Salman Khan (3-14), Saeed Mutabir (2-7) and Khushdil Shah (2-13) to be bowled out for 81 in 19.1 overs with opener Sohail Samana (18 off 14 balls) being the top scorer.
Set a modest target of 82 in 20 overs, Heroes CC Quetta romped home in just 8.3 overs. Opener Khushdil Shah (27 off 15 balls) was the lone batsman to be dismissed as fellow opener Waqas Ali (31 off 18 balls) and Saeed Mutabir (24 off 18 balls) knocked off runs quickly. The Man of the Match award was shared between Salman Khan and Saeed Mutabir.
