According to a report, a big chunk – as much as 67 percent – of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s budget could not be utilised in FY2014-15. For a province that lacks basic infrastructure how can its government be so inept as not to use its full budget? This puts a big question mark on the ability and efficiency of Imran Khan’s KP team.
And if the KP government cannot use these development funds why does it demand them from the centre? While the PTI government is in its third year in office not a single mega project – sky train, rapid bus service, five flyovers, 350 dams, etc – announced has yet to be initiated.
